    BPSR Kinesis North Clinic is an adult, outpatient mental health clinic that serves adults who have serious and persistent mental health issues. Our program helps individuals with psychiatric disabilities to live and socialize within their communities. Our program helps assist participants in finding work in settings that match their strengths and abilities. Our services support recovery from mental health and substance abuse issues by assisting those we serve in developing skills to manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life. BPSR supports individuals in the Ramona and Fallbrook areas.

    Position Description

    Psychiatrist to perform psychiatric assessments and medication management visits for SMI adults, ages 18 years and older, via telepsychiatry. Collaborate with treatment team of nurses, clinicians and peer support staff. An ideal candidate is client-centered, organized, independent worker who enjoys being part of a multidisciplinary team.

    NOTE: This position is contracting for 8-hours, weekly.

    Education/Experience Requirements

    • Current California Physician license
    • Current DEA License
    • Knowledge of State of CA laws and regulations for the medical profession and medical ethics
    • Knowledge and experience managing psychiatric medications
    • Complete psychiatric assessment for SMI adults age 18 and older, via telepsychiatry.
    • Prescribe psychotropic medications to SMI clients for refill visits, via telepsychiatry.
    • Perform timely, accurate and concise documentation of client care using electronic health record.
    • Review results of lab tests and make treatment recommendations to improve functional mental health status.
    • Consult and collaborate with physicians, nurses, clinicians and other health professionals to ensure positive treatment outcomes for our clients.
