  • Program/Department Description

    The Family Recovery Center (FRC) is a residential treatment program dedicated to assisting women recover from substance abuse, while promoting healthy family reunification. There are three major components of FRC: Residential Treatment; work readiness and our Child Development Center. We provide a safe and nurturing environment that offers a holistic approach to recovery that includes addiction education and treatment, physical wellness, and meeting the psychiatric needs of our clients.

    Position Description



    The Night Monitor Residential Assistant is responsible for the maintenance of a safe, residential recovery environment. The Residential Assistant also provides various support services to clients and clinical treatment staff. 



    • Maintain security procedures for the facility, including searches of belongings and persons.
    • Know and support the treatment plan of individual clients as provided by treatment team.
    • Interact with residents in a respectful and culturally sensitive manner at all times.
    • Collect periodic and random urinalysis samples from clients.
    • Facilitate the flow of daily scheduled activities, including meals, treatment, recreational activities, visitation, volunteer activities, etc.
    • Provide support and crisis intervention to residential clients when primary counselor is not available.
    • Maintain client file documentation as required by evaluation and contractual requirements.
    • Oversee residents’ rooms – perform room searches and checks on cleanliness and hygiene.
    • Serve as a role model to clients at all times.

    Education/Experience Requirements

    • AOD experience preferred/helpful but not required.
    • Experience dealing with people; good interpersonal skills.
    • Cultural sensitivity.
    • Experience in crisis intervention, mediation.
    • Resourcefulness, initiative and the ability to work with minimal direction and supervision.
    • Utilizes logical problem-solving techniques both independently and in collaboration with workers in dealing with client needs.
