  • Program/Department Description

    North Coastal Mental Health Center serves young adults,adults and older adults with severe and persistent mental illness who are uninsured,indigent or have MediCal and/ or Medicare insurance. We provide a wide range of services to assist clients in their recovery and enhance their well-being. North Coastal Mental Health Clinic is part of Mental Health Systems, Inc. (MHS).     Position Description

    JOB SUMMARY

     

    This position provides clerical support to staff.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Operates multiple lines telephone and relays incoming,outgoing and inter-office calls and performs miscellaneous departmental communications and clerical duties.
    • Screens call for staff.
    • Maintains and orders inventory of office supplies.
    • Prepares and sorts mail.
    • Responsible for general clerical duties,file and record maintenance. Maintains space for closed files,forms and correspondence.
    • Performs word processing,spreadsheet operations and data base operations using MS Office software.
    • Greets all visitors,quests and vendors.

    Education/Experience Requirements

    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
    • Two years of receptionist or clerical experience.
    • Experience using common office equipment.
    • Type 40wpm.
    • Computer skills using MS Word sufficient to produce professional documents,letters and other correspondence. Excel skills to create and update spreadsheets.
    • Bilingual, Spanish speaking preferred.
