    Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) provides help and support to children, youth, and young adults (up to age 21) who have challenging behaviors and are having difficulty maintaining their current placement. The coaches assist the client and caregiver with the development of structure and new learning experiences that promote healthy pro-social behaviors, and supports the family in gaining new life skills.

    Job Summary and Responsibilities

    The Clinical Case Supervisor manages a caseload of a minimum of 15 high risk youth and their families who are experiencing emotional or behavioral problems due to diagnosed serious emotional disturbance or who may be dually diagnosed with a substance abuse disorder and emotional disturbance. 



    • Manages a caseload of a minimum of twelve high-risk youth and their families.
    • Provides collateral services as necessary.
    • Utilizes, identifies, implements and monitors behavioral orientation, goals and objectives for TBS cases.
    • In conjunction with TBS Team modifies and updates Treatment Plans as indicated and clinically necessary.
    • Evaluates through assessment, clinical review, observation and functional analysis TBS Case status.
    • Monitors TBS Coach Documentation and facilitates training/mentoring as necessary.
    • Provides regular and, as needed, case consultation for TBS Coaches.
    • Coordinates with other Case Managers and Program Assistant in case assignment, case implementation and on-going case statu
    • Attends TBS Case Initial, Implementation, Treatment Review and other case specific meetings on assigned cases.
    • Schedules regular and consistent clinical supervision with TBS Program Psychologist.
    • Completes required documentation (progress notes, Treatment Plans, Medical INSYST billing, etc.) that is timely, complete, consistent and organized.
    • Participates and facilitates in informal clinical and BEST/TBS program training.
    • Participates in Initial, Implementation and Treatment Team meetings.
    • Orients and supervises TBS Coaches in client’s home during case implementation/initiation and throughout the duration of the open TBS case.


    • Professional License/Certification Valid California Licenses as a LCSW, MFT.
    • Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or related behavioral science.
    • Minimum three years experience developing treatment plans and working with emotionally disturbed children, youth and their families in a Mental Health setting.
    • Fluency in English required; fluency in Spanish preferred.
