    Position Description

    This position provides accounts payable support to the Accounting Department. The position consists of

    duties and responsibilities primarily supporting AP to include data entry, maintaining filing system, scanning, filing, preparing reports, and attending to other accounting related duties.

    • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system.
    • Provide general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing and copying.
    • Provide backup to accounts payable personnel as required.
    • Provide audit support for finance and accounting teams including document retrieval.
    • Aid in general operation of department including running errands, maintaining offices supplies inventory, ordering items, and assuming responsibility for maintenance of office equipment.
    • Perform word processing, spreadsheet operations, and data entry.
    • Prepare correspondence from written or oral communication.
    • Schedule and coordinate meetings.
    • Develop and generate reports to meet management requests and needs for AP-related information.
    • Comply with all MHS, policies and procedures including HIPAA standards.

    Education/Experience Requirements

    • High School Diploma required; BA/BS or AA preferred.
    • Minimum of one to two years of similar work experience performing administrative tasks.
    • Experience working in an accounting department is preferred.
    • Must be able to maintain confidential information.
    • Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and solve problems in a timely manner.
    • Must be able to communicate clearly, both in writing and orally, with employees, management and co-workers.
    • Ability to create reports and spreadsheets.
    • Highly organized, thorough and able to self-monitor work for quality.
    • Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, timely respond to management, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must be a proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe PDF Software and accounting software.
    • Enjoy working in an office environment and as part of a team.
