    BPSR Center’s program shall provide bio-psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery services which are comprehensive, culturally competent, age and developmentally appropriate, and which exemplify evidence based and best practices in psychiatric, vocational, nursing, social skill and illness management techniques, and which provide activities tailored to individual client’s needs and choices within their cultural context.

    Job Summary and Responsibilities

    The Clinician performs a range of psychotherapeutic and rehabilitative interventions, including psychosocial assessment, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention and limited case management duties as needed. In addition, the Clinician serves as the Care Coordinator for clients ensuring that they receive the full spectrum of services in a seamless manner and that they receive the optimal level of care needed to maximize functioning and minimize the need for higher levels of care.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Works closely with Psychiatrist to monitor the psychiatric well-being of clients.
    • Serves as Care Coordinator for a caseload of clients as assigned by Program Manager or lead clinician.
    • Provides a variety of services including group and individual counseling, rehabilitation/skills building, relapse prevention, and crisis intervention.
    • Performs psychosocial assessments.
    • Practices the principles of Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery and demonstrates and supports a strong working knowledge of the CCISC model of dual recovery principles and practices, applying an integrated treatment approach with BPSR principles.
    • Interacts therapeutically with clients and exhibits boundaries consistent with professional standards.
    • Works with volunteers and interns in an informative and collegial capacity.
    • Completes all charting and documentation as contractually required and in timely manner as dictated by progra.
    • Will require to work in Fallbrook once a week at our satellite office.  

    Qualifications

    • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field.
    • Registered as an Intern in the State of California is preferred.
    • Two years of experience working with mentally ill populations.
    • One year of experience working with acute psychiatric and dually diagnosed individuals is preferred.
    • Fluency in English required; Fluency in Spanish or other threshold language preferred.
